2022 – From Sneek to Joure
Our old offices were bursting at the seams! Our projects keep growing in size and our team has expanded. Due to these reasons, we relocated to a larger space in Joure at the end of last month. We’ve since finished unpacking and are fully back in business.
2022 – DyVar-360 unit in production
Our team at @Salttech is proud to reveal a global mining company has placed a purchase order with us to design and install a skid-based DyVar-360 unit. This unit has a freshwater production capacity of 432.000 liters per day.
2022 – SALTTECH'S full scale DyVaR-60 unit for lithium and fresh water recovery is in
Together with Dutch contract partner Nieuwe Weme, Salttech is progressing with the production of the containerized DyVaR-60 unit. This will be used in one of the refining facilities of a major South American lithium mining company.

The board of Dutch Water Technologies BV (DWT) have appointed Antoine Engelaar as CTO and Reimond Olthof as CEO for their 100% subsidiary Salttech BV.

2021 – Volume reduction of Ash Washing water with DyVaR
Salttech ‘s client was exploring possibilities to improve their current treatment capacity. Issues with the currently used evaporator and crystallizer causes the need for exploring alternative treatment methods.
2021 - Fresh water production in lithium industry
For a major Lithium mining company in South Amerika, Salttech has successfully produced fresh water to be used for Lithium production operations.
2021 – Salttech DyVaR for leachate treatment mentioned in KSB magazine ‘ReSource’
Salttech’s South African technology partner Tecroveer was interviewed by ReSource about leachate treatment solutions. Rob Holmes, Managing director of Tecroveer mentioned DyVaR technology as suitable technology.
2021 - Lactoprot Director Stefan Rode publishes article in ‘Molkerei Industrie’
Stefan Rode, the director of Lactoprot published an article about the innovative DyVaR technology at Lactoprot.
2021 – Salttech DyVaR publised in the renowed magazine ‘Umweltwirdschaft’
The DyVaR technology has been mentioned in the Umweltwirdschaft, one of Germany’s most popular Dairy magazines. The article describes the nutrient recovery process where specific components are concentrated and re-used as fertilizer product.
2020 – Closing the nutrient cycle in German Dairy industry
In cooperation with their German client Lactoprot, a process was developed with the aim to recover valuable products from waste streams released after milk processing. With use of the Salttech DyVaR technology, valuable elements are recovered from a waste stream in accordance with the Recycling Management Act (KrWG) in order to close the nutrient cycle.
2020 - Succesful start-up of lactoprot
Salttech is proud to share that the DyVaR-60 at Lactoprot is fully tested and is operational.
2020 - Succesful installation on site
Within 5 hours after arrival on site, the Salttech containerized system was placed. After two days of connecting the internal piping by the Salttech construction team, the unit was fully operational and testing started.

2019 - Start of production of DyVaR-60 for Lactoprot
After development of the Salttech DyVaR Dairy application together with the client, Salttech is proud to announce that they have started with the production of the system in the Netherlands.
2019 – Zero Liquid Discharge in Coal Mining Industry achievable with Salttech’s DyVaR
Together with their South African Business Partner Tecroveer Salttech has conducted a very successful field test at the WWTP of our South African mining client.
2018 – Reducing environmental footprint of Copper Mining industry with DyVaR technology.
Salttech's DyVaR technology was the final step in a successful innovative near Zero Liquid Discharge project. To comply to the European Commission’s current strategy on the Circular Economy, an innovative research project was conducted at Atlantic Copper;s copper processing plant.
2018 – Contract signed with Suez and Atlantic Copper for R&D copper mining project
In accordance with the EU strategy on Circular Economy, Salttech will together with Suez and other technology suppliers perform long-term pilot testing in order to maximize water recovery in copper industry.
2018 - The DyVaR technology proved its success in Dairy industry.
Lactoprot, a German dairy company, contacted Salttech about their RO brine problem. Specific components in the brine caused scaling in their conventional evaporator and crystallizer when treating the brine, resulting in operational disturbances and high operational costs. Salttech, together with their client, mapped out a plan to develop a sustainable solution for the problem.
2017 – Abu Dhabi price
During the International Water Summit 2017 in Abu Dhabi, Salttech has won the innovation prize Innovate@IWS.
